Launching our Cooking with Principles Workshops

We recently launched our online Cooking with Principles Workshops pilot in collaboration with the Conduit Club. The first workshop focused on the principle of a stir-fry, because it’s one of the most versatile well-loved dishes out there, and because it's a great introduction to the wonder of umami. Over the course of ninety minutes, some thirty participants dove into this principle learning about umami (the key to delicious plant-centric cooking), how to use meat for flavour, building a balanced sauce, seasonality and much more.
It was a resounding success with great feedback, and the next workshop is already booked in. Next time we’ll be learning about how to use the principle of a salad as whole meal in itself by combining roasted and raw veg, pulses, grains, herbs, fruit, etc. It’s sure to be an exciting and colourful experience.
